Keiki will participate in a variety of board events at Makaha Beach all weekend as part of the 43rd Annual Rell Sunn Menehune Surf Contest, a benefit for the Rell Sunn Educational Fund.
Anyone rated in HASA or NSSA or has surfed in the last NSSA Regional Championship or HASA State Championship will not be eligible to compete in 2019 Rell Sunn Menehune Surf Contest.
“Menehune 1A is exempt” from that since it’s a learning division with nowhere to advance and because they can only do it their first year they surf. (Age 12 by April 20, 2019)
Going back a decade to 2009 and one can see, not much changes when it comes to our Keiki lighting up the beach.
