June 4, 2015 – Barber’s Point, Hawaii – This Saturday, June 6th, Military personnel of the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard will once again battle it out in the surf of White Plains Beach during the ninth annual All-Military Surf Classic, Presented by HIC, Quiksilver and MWR- Hawaii. The event is limited to active-duty US Military and Department of Defense personnel, retirees and dependents, and includes divisions for both shortboard and longboard surfing. Come down and cheer on your favorite branch as they compete for the coveted team trophy, awarded to the branch with the highest cumulative points. No doubt the U.S. Army, last year’s Top Branch Award winners, will be keen to defend their title against all challengers. White Plains Beach, located on Oahu’s south-west shore, is now accessible to all civilians since the decommissioning of the Barber’s Point Naval Air Base in 1998. |
