Let’s help Shark Attack SURVIVOR: Colin Cook

Our best friend Colin Cook originally grew up surfing in Rhode Island.  He was ready to make his name building surfboards in Hawaii.  He’s been living and surfing on the North Shore of Oahu for the past three years, which has been his life dream.

On October 9th he was surfing at a local break and was pulled under by a shark.  He fought off the shark and was pulled to shore by other surfers.  Thankfully he made it out alive, but he lost his left leg from above the knee and is also suffering hand injuries.

Colin Cook is the toughest person we know but the financial strain of this hardship promises to be great.  Our goal is for your donations to aid in his recovery and a  badass prosthetic limb to ensure he gets back in the water soon!

Some technical information regarding this fundraiser:
Hi my name is Brendan Prior From Tiverton, RI (Colin’s hometown). I am representing the gofundme account on his friend and family’s behalf.  There are alot of people Colin has positively influenced over the years and we would like to show our support for him.  I am one of Colin’s close friends and am in direct communication with his family as they deal with this hardship. I will have Colin draw the funds directly from the gofundme page to assist in his medical expenses. This will include but is not limited to surgery expenses, rehabilitation therapy as well as assisting with the purchase of a prosthetic leg. Please do not hesitate to contact me at this page with any questions or concerns you may have.
