May you be covered in love this Valentine

Happy Valentines Day!
Here’s a little fun and info while the storm passes down the Island chain. A good day to stay indoors.
“Love doesn’t make the world go round. Love is what makes the ride worthwhile.” — Franklin P. Jones
“I got a Valentine’s Day card from my girl. It said, ‘Take my heart! Take my arms! Take my lips!’ Which is just like her. Keeping the best part for herself.”

Robert Orben
“Today is Valentine’s Day – or, as men like to call it, Extortion Day!”

Jay Leno
“Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies.” — Aristotle “Gravitation cannot be held responsible for people falling in love.” — Albert Einstein “Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward in the same direction.” — Antoine de Saint-Exupery “Love looks not with the eyes, but with the mind.” — Shakespeare “I’ve realized that although Valentine’s Day can be a cheesy money-making stint to most people, it’s a day of expressing love across the world. It doesn’t have to only be between lovers, but by telling a friend that you care, or even an old person that they are still appreciated.”
Reeva Steenkamp
“I have many valentines. My mom and my sister and my directors. I got calls from all of them. And my friends. I respect what Valentine’s Day stands for because it is about love.”

Michelle Trachtenberg
The history of Valentine’s Day–and the story of its patron saint–is shrouded in mystery. We do know that February has long been celebrated as a month of romance, and that St. Valentine’s Day, as we know it today, contains vestiges of both Christian and ancient Roman tradition. But who was Saint Valentine, and how did he become associated with this ancient rite?

The Catholic Church recognizes at least three different saints named Valentine or Valentinus, all of whom were martyred. One legend contends that Valentine was a priest who served during the third century in Rome. When Emperor Claudius II decided that single men made better soldiers than those with wives and families, he outlawed marriage for young men. Valentine, realizing the injustice of the decree, defied Claudius and continued to perform marriages for young lovers in secret. When Valentine’s actions were discovered, Claudius ordered that he be put to death.
