One last storm system created a good size swell for Hawai’i in April.
On Maui Pe’ahi was breaking at an impressive size with some windy conditions.
The day started off nicely with a good amount of swell mixed in with light offshore valley winds.
All of that quickly changed within hours after sunrise.
The wind picked up fast and the swell was filling in at the same time.
It was solid 15ft plus with strong windy conditions moving in and out throughout the day.
Kai Lenny and his team knew that this could possibly be the last swell of the season so Kai came prepared with everything he needed to do multiple ocean sports in one day with these windy conditions being forecasted.
First in the morning it was big wave tow in surfing which was next level!
Kai landed two of his new moves, and was surfing really well.
Ridge, Kai’s brother was surfing really well too slicing the faces of Pe’ahi with sharp turns.
Then Kai, did some wing foiling which was pretty unreal to document, next it was wing surfing, followed by kite surfing (while having lunch) then finally wind surfing.
Kai Lenny did five ocean sports in one day and he was ripping it up in every way!
The dedication and passion he has for ocean sports is hard to explain, it’s truly inspiring to see him take wave riding to the next level in many unique and different ways.
