We were incredibly disappointed in having to cancel
The Hawai’i Adaptive Surfing Championship this year,
but in response to these current challenges, we created a virtual contest
for our adaptive community!
We are so stoked to announce,
AccesSurf’s Online Adaptive Surf Contest
presented by Aligned Mortgage!
In this photo submission contest (the photo must be taken within 2019-2020),
we are offering two categories:
No ka hoʻokūkū (for competition):
This is our competitive category in which the contestant will provide a photo that best showcases their critical surfing abilities (technical performance).
No ka leʻaleʻa (for fun):
This is our “Stoke” category! We want you to show the pure joy of surfing; be creative! Like they say, the best surfer is the one having the most fun!
Photos will be judged by Rich Julian, Beau Hodge, and Dave Shipley.
Each category prize winner will receive a 2021 Hawaii Adaptive Surfing Championship package. This package will waive your registration fee for the HASC in June 2021, as well as provide a 5 night hotel stay in Waikiki along with restaurant vouchers for your stay in June.
The contest will run from July 20th – August 20th.
There will be a $20 Registration fee which covers your contest shirt
